High Street Nos 64-60

D7.4  Nos.64 – 60 High Street.

This terrace of three houses was built on an old copyhold piece of land of Worthing manor originally held by Sir Byshe Shelley for many years in the early part of the 19th century, when it was described as a garden. The 1852OS map below shows the area before any building took place.

The terrace was demolished after 1968 and the site later covered by Searles new Ford car show rooms built in 1974 (see D7.5).
